BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of professional hands-on experience as a Safety Manager, Technician Manager, or Automation Manager.
- 5+ years of experience building complex non-standardized equipment or products.
- A passion for keeping employees safe while working on complex equipment & electrical wiring.
- Natural leadership ability.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented leadership style.
- Up to 10% of travel may be required between locations.
- Ability to travel for work-related purposes as needed; access to reliable transportation is required due to the nature of our business and multiple client sites.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Background checks are required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of safety and/or quality assurance practices related to mechanical assembly and basic electrical wiring or testing.
- Ability to read and interpret CAD models, drawings, electrical schematics, pneumatic schematics, and work instructions.
- Manage employees, safety, and quality on custom automation builds.
- Create process documentation as needed to maintain quality and safety standards.
- Lead technicians supporting mechanical, electrical, and system-level builds and testing.
- Oversee day-to-day lab and shop operations, including scheduling, workload balancing, and priorities. Work through resourcing issues with the management team with grace and candor.
- Ensure adherence to Andrews Cooper standards, safety practices, and quality processes.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance for assembly, troubleshooting, and test activities.
- Partner with engineering leadership to support project execution and delivery timelines.
- Mentor, coach, and develop technicians through feedback, training, and career growth support.
