BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a similar degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 1-4 years of professional hands-on experience in Mechanical Engineering.
- Skilled in CAD modeling and drafting.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Knowledge of manufacturing techniques (Machining, 3D printing, injection molding, etc.)
- Up to 20% of travel may be required between locations.
- Ability to travel for work-related purposes as needed; access to reliable transportation is required due to the nature of our business and multiple client sites.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Background checks are required.
- Good understanding of basic mechanics and machine design.
- Experience with and a desire to gain expertise in automation or product development processes from concept to production.
- Ability to assist in the creation and building of fixtures for optomechanical experiments.
- Experience with and a desire to gain expertise in designing injection molded, and sheet metal parts.
- Skilled in NX modeling and drafting.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Update 2D and 3D CAD models to accommodate design changes.
- Create and manage technical documentation (e.g., BOMs, I/O lists, P&IDs).
- Perform basic engineering analyses.
- Build and maintain CAD models that integrate into complex assemblies.
