BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • B.S. in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant purchasing experience.
  • Up to 20% of travel may be required between locations.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Background checks are required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Background in supply chain management.
  • Familiar with custom fabricated parts: machining, sheet metal, weldments, etc.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Ability to reconcile accounts for accounting and documentation purposes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Create solid vendor relationships and manage suppliers to ensure quality service, competitive pricing, and on-time delivery.
  • Solicit quotations for components from suppliers.
  • Order custom fabricated parts (machine parts, sheet metal parts, weldments, etc.) from a Bill of Materials and part/assembly documentation (3D and 2D).
  • Track and maintain delivery status of ordered parts to meet build schedules.
  • Conduit between engineering and suppliers to assure pro-active communication that prevents schedule delays and quality issues.
  • Assist with project estimation by providing part price and lead time information.
  • Shipping of components and systems which includes hiring crating and rigging crews, arrange truck transportation, and international shipments.

The salary range for this position is based on national rates. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Base Salary: $98,000.00 - $140,000.00. Andrews Cooper is an equal-opportunity employer.
